The Chairman, Kaduna State Local Government Service Board, Dr Ishaya Sarki Habu has assured to look into the issue of workers who have requisite qualifications but, have been mistakenly affected by the retrenchment.

This is contained in a statement by the Information officer of the Board, Malam Aliyu Sani and made available to newsmen in Kaduna.

Dr Habu explained that, their case would be reviewed very soon with a view to re-absorbing those of them whose claims are verified and ascertained to be genuine.

He called on civil servants in the State to shun any form of confrontation and negative ways and embrace peace and dialogue during any conflict situation with their employers.

The Chairman urged the workers to always cooperate with the Government so that it will improve their welfare and that of the general public.

He reminded them that there is global economic down turn and the Government would not continue to bear the burden of an over-bloated wage bill to the detriment of the majority of the citizens of the State.

The Chairman reaffirmed that policies of the state government were aimed at improving the lives and wellbeing of both workers and the general public.

He enjoined them to give their maximum support and allegiance to the Government so that it will deliver on its mandate to the people.

Dr Ishaya Sarki Abu who led a team on a visit to Local Government Areas of the State to ensure that workers reported at their various duty station, commended the staff who shunned the calls by the NLC to join the strike and reported to work.

In the same vein, the Permanent Members of the Board, Alhaji Magaji Sadiq and Mrs Cecilia Musa warned staff to desist from being partisan politically and abide by the Civil Service Rules and Regulations.

The Permanent Members also reminded the workers that, they are employees of Government, therefore they must remain loyal to the Government of the day.
