About 2000 policemen will be deployed to various locations in Zamfara State to ensure hitch free Sallah celebration scheduled for Thursday, 13th May, 2021.

This is contained in a statement made available to Radio Nigeria in Gusau by the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, of the Command, SP Muhammad Shehu who said the operation will be conducted in collaboration with other security agencies.

The statement explains that, Commissioner of Police, CP Hussaini Rabiu has instructed the police to be civil but firm in the discharge of their duties to ensure peaceful and hitch-free sallah festival.

According to Shehu Muhammad, the command has made adequate security arrangements for the festivity and therefore warns parents and guardians to control their wards against involvement in any act capable of undermining the peace of the state.

The statement says any person or group of persons arrested violating law and order will be made to face the full wrath of the law.

According to the statement, the deployment is aimed at security vulnerable places to include Eid praying grounds, recreational centers, major highways, Government and Private infrastructures to forestall breakdown of law and order.

The statement also adds that the command Felicitates with Muslim faithfuls and other citizens in the state for the EID-EL-FITIR celebration and enjoined them to cooperate and support with securities and report any suspicious person or object to the nearest police station or call the following numbers, 08034537596; 08035318484; 08033422152; 08039655054; 09064296391.
