Member representing Bungudu/Maru Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Abdulmalik Zubairu Zannan Bungudu, has donated 15 vehicles to the All Progressives Congress (APC) Daram Dam Dam political organisation to support the party’s mobilisation and campaign activities across Zamfara State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The vehicles were presented to the beneficiaries by the Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, during a ceremony attended by APC stakeholders and supporters in Gusau, the Zamfara State Capital.
Governor Lawal represented by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Ahmad Garba Yandi, said the gesture demonstrated the lawmaker’s commitment to strengthening grassroots politics and contributing to the development of the APC in Zamfara State.
Governor Lawal commended Zannan Bungudu for the contribution to strengthening the party’s grassroots structures and urged other elected and appointed political office holders to emulate the initiative.
According to the governor, the vehicles are expected to improve campaign logistics, facilitate wider mobilisation and enhance direct engagement with voters across the state.
Governor Dauda Lawal pointed out that, the intervention would particularly support door-to-door mobilisation and other grassroots activities ahead of the 2027 elections.
He urged the beneficiaries to use the vehicles responsibly and ensure that, they served the interests of the party and its structures across the 14 local government areas.
He also called on APC members, leaders and stakeholders in Zamfara to intensify their mobilisation efforts toward the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the re-election of Governor Dauda Lawal and the election of all APC candidates in the state.
The governor stressed the need for unity, effective coordination and sustained engagement with the electorate as the party prepares for the 2027 general elections.
Speaking at the event, the member of the House of Representative, Representing Maru/Bungudu Federal Constituency, Abdulmalik Zubairu Zannan Bungudu said the vehicles were specifically provided to facilitate campaign and mobilisation activities for the APC ahead of the elections.
Bungudu represented by the Chairman of the Coordinating Committee for the political and developmental movement of Abdulmalik Zubairu, Alhaji Bashir Bello Auki, stressed that, the initiative was aimed at supporting campaigns for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima, Governor Dauda Lawal’s re-election, as well as other APC candidates contesting various elective positions in Zamfara State.
Bello explained that the 14 local government coordinators play a strategic role in coordinating the organisation’s activities across the state’s 147 political wards.
He urged the coordinators to take full responsibility for the vehicles and deploy them strictly for the purposes for which they were provided.
“You are responsible for driving local campaign activities across the 147 political wards in the state. You should therefore use the vehicles responsibly and ensure they contribute meaningfully to the success of the party,” he said.
He added that the initiative was part of efforts to strengthen the party’s grassroots structures and improve its capacity to reach communities and engage voters ahead of the 2027 elections.
In his remarks, the State Chairman of APC Daram Dam Dam, Alhaji Shehu Shamsu Kasida, described the donation as a significant boost to the organisation’s mobilisation activities.
Alhaji Kasida expressed appreciation to Zannan Bungudu for the gesture and assured that the vehicles would be used judiciously to advance the objectives of the organisation and support APC campaign activities across the state.
He called on the beneficiaries to work collectively, maintain effective coordination and ensure that the vehicles were deployed to areas where they would have the greatest impact on grassroots mobilisation.
The beneficiaries comprised the 14 local government area coordinators of APC Daram Dam Dam and the organisation’s State Woman Leader.
The presentation is expected to strengthen the operational capacity of APC Daram Dam Dam coordinators as the party begins preparations and wider grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
