Thẹ National Examinations Council NECO has released results ọf 2026 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) Internal with eight hundred and four thousand nine hundred and fourty eight candidatea representing fifty eight point six seven percent that scored five credits and above including English language and Mathematics.
Annoucing the results at its headquarters Minna, NECO Registrar and Chief Executive, Prof Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi maintained that the certificates issued to students reflect their true academic performance and not shortcuts.
Prof Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi explained that the number ọf candidates with five credits and above irrespective ọf English language and Mathematics stood at one million one hundred and sixty two thousand one hundred and eighteen representing eighty four point seven point zero percent.
According to him, the released ọf the results is significant and deeply deserving ọf appreciation because this examination cycle was indeed most tasking, because it tested their systems, processes, readiness and resolve which provided an opportunity for the Council to demonstrate commitment to excellence, fairness and integrity ọf certification.
Prof Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, however explained that the number ọf candidates involved in various forms ọf malpractices in 2026 is one thousand four hundred and sixas against the three thousand eight hundred and seventy eight candidates in 2025, which shows a decrease ọf sixty four point seven four percent.
Hẹ said all the achievements recorded wouldnt have beẹn possible without the support ọf President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for findings him worthy ọf reappointment, Minister ọf Education Dr Maruf Tunji Alausa for his vọte ọf confidence Minister ọf State for Education Prof Suwaiba Sai’d Ahmed for her leadership and direction and other stakeholders numerous to mention.
Prof Wushishi added that by this release, candidates can access their results on the NECO website: www.neco.gov.ng using their examination registration number.
