Kaduna State Police Command says it has rescued two kidnapped victims, arrested 12 suspects and recovered firearms during separate clearance operations in Ikara and Makarfi Local Government Areas.
The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Mansir Hassan, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday.
He said four suspected kidnappers were also neutralised during a gun duel with security operatives in Ikara.
According to him, the operation followed credible intelligence that led police and members of the Kaduna Vigilance Service to a suspected criminal hideout in Yoromowa, Auchanawa Village.

The operatives recovered an AK-47 rifle and rescued two kidnapped victims.
In a separate operation in Makarfi, police and KADVS personnel cleared parts of the Arabu Forest Reserve and recovered two locally made guns, suspected Indian hemp and a military camouflage T-shirt.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Muhammad Rabiu, commended the personnel and members of the public for providing useful information.
He assured residents that the Command would sustain intelligence-led operations against criminal networks across the state.
