The Accord Party Gubernatorial Candidate in Zamfara State, AIG Musa Yusuf Garba (Rtd.), says the party’s victory in the Osun State governorship election has boosted its confidence ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

AIG Garba conveyed the congratulatory message at a news briefing in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital, where he described Governor Ademola Adeleke’s victory in the governorship election held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, as a renewed vote of confidence by the people of Osun State and Nigeria as a whole.

Represented by the Accord Party Chairman in Zamfara, Alhaji Bashir Abdullahi Ruwan Bore, said the re-election had placed a greater responsibility on Governor Adeleke to consolidate the achievements of his first term.

Musa Garba congratulated Adeleke on his re-election for a second term in office and urged the governor to continue pursuing policies and programmes that would promote peace, unity, development and improved welfare for the people of Osun State.

AIG Garba also congratulated the people of Osun State for exercising their democratic rights and contributing to the strengthening of Nigeria’s democracy.

He prayed to Almighty Allah to grant Governor Adeleke greater wisdom, strength, good health and guidance to effectively discharge the responsibilities entrusted to him and take Osun State to greater heights

According to Garba, the victory demonstrated the growing acceptance of the Accord Party among Nigerians and expressed confidence that the same success would be replicated in Zamfara State by the grace of God.

He maintained that the current situation in Zamfara requires a party and candidates with the determination, experience and commitment to restore peace and promote economic development.

AIG Musa said the Accord Party had carefully considered the challenges facing Zamfara State before presenting candidates who, according to him, have the capacity to provide effective solutions to the problems confronting the people.

He expressed confidence that if the Accord Party wins the forthcoming general elections in Zamfara State, it would work towards ending insecurity and creating an environment conducive to sustainable economic growth and development.

He also commended the National Chairman of the party for his resilience, steadfast commitment, political maturity and tireless efforts towards the success recorded by the party in the election.

AIG Garba said the victory represented an important political milestone and demonstrated what could be achieved through determination, strategic leadership, unity of purpose and commitment to the democratic aspirations of the people.

He noted that Chief Mgbudem’s leadership and dedication continued to inspire members of the Accord Party across the country, adding that the Zamfara State chapter shared in the celebration of the electoral victory.
