The Director-General of the Kano State Drugs and Medical Consumables Supply Agency (DMCSA), Pharmacist Gali Sule, has emphasized the importance of collaboration with religious leaders and other key stakeholders to improve healthcare service delivery and strengthen government-community relations in Kano State.
Pharm. Sule stated this while receiving the leadership of the Council of Kadiriyya Imams, Kano State Chapter, during a courtesy visit to the Agency.
He described religious leaders as critical partners in promoting public enlightenment, healthy living and community development, noting that their influence can support government policies aimed at improving the well-being of residents.
The Director-General said the Agency remains open to partnerships with stakeholders whose contributions will enhance the delivery of quality healthcare services and strengthen the state’s health system.
“The Council of Kadiriyya Imams occupies a strategic position in our society. Your guidance and influence are invaluable in promoting healthy communities and supporting government initiatives. At DMCSA, we remain committed to working with religious institutions, community leaders and other stakeholders to improve healthcare delivery for the benefit of all residents of Kano State,”
He also appreciated the Council for the visit, describing it as a demonstration of confidence in the Agency.
Earlier, the Amir of the Council of Kadiriyya Imams, Kano State Chapter, Sheikh Hassan Mukhtar Atamma, said the visit was to formally introduce the Council’s leadership and establish a cordial working relationship with the Agency.
According to him, the Council is committed to supporting initiatives that promote public health, social harmony and community development through collaboration with relevant government institutions.
“We are here to formally introduce the leadership of our Council and to build a productive relationship with the DMCSA. We believe that by working together, we can contribute to strengthening healthcare service delivery, promoting public health awareness and enhancing the social well-being of the people of Kano State,”
Both parties agreed to sustain collaboration on initiatives aimed at improving healthcare outcomes and supporting the development of Kano State.
