The Director-General of the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo, has expressed profound appreciation to Governor Umar Namadi for approving ₦3.5 billion to secure 2027 Hajj seats for intending pilgrims from the state.

He said the special loan, approved by the State Executive Council, is intended to help intending pilgrims meet the financial requirements for their initial Hajj seat deposits.

Alhaji Labbo commended Governor Namadi for the significant support, describing it as a demonstration of the administration’s commitment to the welfare of pilgrims.

According to him, Jigawa State stands at the forefront in nigeria in providing such direct financial assistance and operational backing for its intending pilgrims.

In a statement made available to Radio Nigeria by the Public Relations Officer of the board, Alhaji Habibu Yusuf Adamu Babura, Labbo emphasized that the board is fully committed to absolute transparency, ensuring the funds are manages and utilized strictly for the designated purpose with the utmost integrity.

Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo emphasized that the board’s excellent track record of prompt repayment of interest-free loan has built strong trust with the state government.

The DG also called all intending pilgrims to make initial deposit of 7.5 million naira before deadline of 25th September 2026 set aside by NAHCON and Saudi authorities for collection of payment and registration for the 2027 hajj intending pilgrims.
