The Commissioner of Police, Taraba State Command, CP Moorkwap Dongshal has emphasised that professionalism, discipline, integrity, and respect for human rights must remain paramount in all police operations in the state.
He stated this during a familiarization and inspection tour of Police formations and other security establishments within Sardauna and Bali Local Government Areas of the state.
The visit was aimed at assessing the operational readiness of officers and men, strengthening inter-agency collaboration, enhancing community engagement, and boosting the morale of personnel serving in the affected areas.
Dongshal reminded officers and men of the Command to ensure that they remain fully accountable for their actions in the line of duty.
He commended the efforts and sacrifices of officers serving in various divisions and assured them of the Command’s continued support towards enhancing operational effectiveness and improving security across the state.
As part of the tour, the Commissioner of Police visited the 20 Battalion Nigerian Army, Baruwa, as well as Police formations in Serti, Gembu, Bali, and Kurmi Divisions.
During his interaction with officers and men of the Command, CP Dongshal charged personnel to remain professional, steadfast, courageous, and committed in the discharge of their constitutional responsibilities and service to the nation.
He emphasised the need for officers to remain vigilant and proactive in crime-fighting efforts, while also maintaining a cordial and respectful relationship with members of the public in line with global best policing practices and the community policing initiative of the Nigeria Police Force.


During the tour, the Police Commissioner also paid a courtesy visit to the palace of Gembu Emir, Alhaji Shehu Baju, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Abubakar Mahmoud Adamu Kur-Jibu Bali, and His Royal Highness, Alhaji Kabiru Muhammed Gidado Misa, Lamdo Bakundi-Bali.
CP’s discussions with them centred on strengthening security collaboration, community partnership, and sustaining peace within their respective domains.
Additionally, CP Sebastian Dongshal reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to ensuring the protection of lives and property and sustaining peace and security in all parts of the state.
