The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has alerted parents and guardians to watch out for suspicious sachets and packaged substances in their homes following the seizure of illicit drugs worth over N5.8bn in Lekki, Lagos.

According to the agency, the drugs were discovered during a weekend raid on a mansion allegedly used as a stash house for narcotics packaged in colourful designer sachets aimed at attracting young people.

NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, disclosed the development in a statement shared on X on Sunday 10th May, 2026.

He said the operation prevented large quantities of dangerous substances from reaching homes and communities.

Babafemi warned parents to pay closer attention to unusual sachets or packages found around their children, stressing that drug traffickers are increasingly disguising narcotics as attractive consumer products targeted at youths and teenagers.

He added that families who notice such items should immediately seek help for affected children or young persons.
