Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of police officers who lost their lives in active service at Tor-Damisa in the Donga Local Government Area of the state.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Acting Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, ASP Victor Mshelizah.

It says in a show of compassion and solidarity, the Governor, through the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the State, Chief Barr Gebon Kataps gave the condolences.

The SGS presented letters of condolence and a token sum of ₦1,000,000 (One Million Naira) each to the families of the deceased officers.

The gesture, according to the Taraba State Government, is in recognition of the bravery, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment of the fallen officers.

The Governor described their deaths as a painful loss, not only to their immediate families but also to the Nigeria Police Force and Taraba State as a whole.

Responding on behalf of the Taraba State Police Command and the bereaved families, the Commissioner of Police, CP Moorkwap Sebastian Dongshal, expressed deep appreciation to Governor Kefas and the State Government for the kind and humane gesture.

The CP noted that the support would go a long way in providing comfort and relief to the affected families, while also boosting the morale of officers and men of the Command.

He further commended the Governor for demonstrating genuine concern for the welfare of security personnel and for standing with the Police in their moment of grief.

The Command reassured the public of its continued commitment to safeguarding lives and property and honouring the sacrifices of its fallen heroes.

The Command also urged members of the public to continue supporting the Police and other security agencies in their collective effort to maintain peace and security across the state.

The deceased officers are Cpl Raphael Danjuma, PC Ebenezer Daniel, and PC Samuel Bawa, who paid the ultimate price in the line of duty while protecting lives and property in the state.
