The All Progressive Congress APC stakeholders in nasarawa state have commanded Governor Abdullahi Sule for anointing Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada as his preferred successor for the 2027 governorship election in the state.
The stakeholders, made their position known in keff local government area at a grand reception organized to welcome Senator Wadada home after the endorsement.
Addressing the gathering of the party supporters, the speaker of nasarawa state house of assembly, Dr. Danladi Jatau who spoke on behalf of the 16 APC members in the assembly, appreciated Governor Abdullahi Sule for endorsing one of the best among the aspirants to succeed him.
He noted that the assembly members are fully in support of the decision and would work towards the victory of Senator Wadada in the primaries and the general election, adding that, Senator Aliyu Wadada is a loyal party member with competence, experience, and reach to lead state to greater heights.
“If God did not give you today, he can choose you tomorrow, even if it is not a gubernatorial position, it could be another position,” the speaker added…”
Chairman Association of Local Government of Nigeria ALGON, Mr. Safiyanu Isah Andaha described Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada as the most qualified aspirant who will lead APC to victory and sustain the development recorded under Governor Abdullahi Sule led administration.
“As LGA Chairmen, we also consulted our people and on behalf of the 13 LGA Chairmen, we wish to say that we are unanimously and unequivocally support the choice of Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada by our hardworking and patriotic leader, the governor…ALGON Chair said……..”
“We will, mobilize to ensure he wins the primaries and the general election in 2027 and indeed becomes our next governor,” the ALGON Chairman added.
Responding, Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada said he was humbled by the governor’s confidence, the stakeholders’ approval for choosing him and pledged to run an inclusive government that would consolidate on Governor Sule’s achievements in infrastructure, industrialisation, and security if elected in 2027.
Senator Wadada, also commanded thousands of the APC supporters who were drawn from all the 13 local government areas of the state to welcome him home in Keffi.
He appealed to other APC aspirants to join hands with him, stressing that the party’s interest was bigger than individual ambition.
The lawmaker called on the citizens of the state to vote him into power, as his administration would ensure that citizens enjoying dividend of democracy.
“I thank the governor for making the decision he has taken, that makes it imperative for every citizen of nasarawa state to be proud of the kind of governor we have..he said…..”
“He is a governor that does not only perform his responsibility, but he is a governor that when he talks, he walks it. That is commendable and credible. I pray that the Lord reward him abundantly,” he said….”
Among the stakeholders at the event comprising members of the house of assembly, local government chairmen, party leaders, youths, and women’s groups.
