President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has assured the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other Gulf countries of Nigeria’s solidarity following recent tensions linked to the US/Israel conflict with Iran.
The President gave the assurance at the State House, Abuja, while receiving Letters of Credence from ambassadors and high commissioners of nine countries.
He commended the affected nations for their restraint and resilience, stressing that Nigeria remains committed to global peace and stability.
President Tinubu said Nigeria will continue to work with international partners to promote peace both within the African sub-region and globally.
He noted that his administration’s foreign policy is focused on strengthening diplomatic ties, attracting investment, and fostering mutually beneficial partnerships.
President Tinubu reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to regional cooperation, particularly within ECOWAS, and emphasised the need for collective action in addressing global challenges.
On behalf of the envoys, the Ambassador of Qatar expressed appreciation to the President and pledged to strengthen bilateral relations with Nigeria.
