A massive show of support has been demonstrated for Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu’s governorship ambition in nasarawa state, as thousands of supporters from the All Progressives Congress APC took to the streets of lafia, marching to the party’s state secretariat and the government house.

The youths also demonstrated commitment to nasarawa state’s progress, especially in areas of infrastructure, education, youth empowerment, improving lives, promoting unity, and driving development by Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu.

Addressing the rally, Chairman of the Solidarity group, Zaidu Aliyu Tanko, expressed the group’s unwavering support for Senator Wadada’s candidacy, citing his track record of service, leadership, and vision for the state’s future.

“Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu possesses the requisite skills and experience to lead Nasarawa State towards sustainable growth and prosperity,” Tanko said. “His passion for service, integrity, and ability to connect with diverse groups make him an ideal candidate.”

The supporters urged the APC leadership and the government of Nasarawa State to consider Senator Ahmed Wadada’s aspiration, recognizing his political strength and unmatched potential to lead the state to greater heights.

A letter of recommendation has been submitted to the APC leadership, touting Senator Ahmed Wadada as the most experienced and qualified aspirant to sustain the good legacies of Governor Abdullahi A. Sule beyond 2027.

The rally was seen as a demonstration of the party’s unity and support for Senator Wadada’s governorship bid, with supporters calling on others to rally behind his candidacy and work towards building a brighter future for Nasarawa State.

The Chairman of Nasarawa State All Progressive Congress APC, Dr. Aliyu Bello, while receiving the group urged t to maintain unity and focus on development as the party prepares for the 2027 governorship elections.

He commended the group for their civility and conduct, saying they had demonstrated a positive approach to politics by selling their candidate without insulting others.

“I want to sincerely commend the Wadada ambassadors for their civility, for their conduct as you sell your candidate without insulting anybody,” Dr. Bello said. “Sell your candidate without insulting other aspirants. I commend most of our aspirants. I have seen their rallies without insult.”

Dr. Bello emphasized that unity was crucial for the party’s success, saying the APC wanted to maintain power in Nasarawa State beyond 2027.

“We want to maintain APC in Nasarawa State 2007 and beyond so please, as you are proceeding with your rally to wherever you are going to sell your candidate, I urge you not to insult anybody. Don’t abuse anybody. We are all partners in progress.”

The APC chairman highlighted the development projects undertaken by Governor Abdullahi Sule, saying Lafia had been transformed into a modern city.

“Governor Abdullahi Sule has transformed lafia, the state capital, to a modern city,” he said. “If our late parents and the parents of those saying that Lafia is like a glorified local government headquarters are to come back to this world, they cannot trace the roads to their houses until their hands are held and led to their houses.”

Dr. Bello urged supporters to work together for the success of the party’s candidate in 2027, saying whoever the governor anointed would be supported by the party.

“For this reason, whoever the governor anoints as APC candidate, I hope we will all collaborate and work for the success of the candidate in order to continue to have development in the state,” he said.
