The Governing Council of Usman Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, has approved the dismissal of Malam Garba Ahmed from services of the institution over fake NYSC mobilisation.
A statement issued by Ismaila Mohammed Yauri, Director, Information and Public Relations, says that the decision was taken at the 176th meeting of the Governing Council of the University held on Wednesday, 1st April, 2026.
According to the statement, Malam Garba was found guilty of illegally uploading unqualified students for NYSC mobilisation.
Prior to his dismissal, he was a staff member of the Registry Department.
“The University Governing Council maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward acts of serious or gross misconduct,” the statement reads.
