President Bola Tinubu has departed the United Kingdom after concluding a two-day state visit marked by high-level engagements and strategic agreements aimed at strengthening Nigeria–UK relations.

The visit began with a ceremonial reception hosted by King Charles III at Windsor Castle, where President Tinubu held discussions focused on deepening historical and diplomatic ties between both countries.

President Tinubu also attended a state dinner held in his honour, alongside senior UK officials and members of his delegation.

During the visit, President Tinubu met with the British Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, at 10 Downing Street, where both leaders discussed cooperation in security, defence, trade, and economic development.

The President highlighted Nigeria’s ongoing economic reforms and called for stronger UK support in tackling challenges such as terrorism, banditry, and climate change.

The visit was rounded off with the signing of major financial and infrastructure agreements at Lancaster House, including deals to modernise Nigeria’s seaports and support key development projects.

Agreements reached are expected to boost trade, attract investment, and further solidify bilateral relations between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
