A community-based organization known as Hadejia Advocacy has commended the Governor of Jigawa State, Umar Namadi, for intervening in the case of Walida, who was allegedly abducted by a staff member of the Department of State Services, Mr. Ifeanyi Festus Onyewuenyi.
The group described the rescue of the girl and her baby, who are now in the custody of the Jigawa State Government, as a clear demonstration of Governor Namadi’s commitment to protecting the life, dignity, and welfare of citizens of Jigawa State.
The Chairman of the group Comrade Abubakar Babangida stated this while speaking during a counter protest held in the ancient city of Hadejia.
Comrade Abubakar reiterated the commitment of their group to continue supporting Governor Namadi’s administration to pursue the case to the logical conclusion to ensure Justice served to the victims.
The demonstrators however faulted the protest stage by Hadejia Ina Mafia described it as misleading and misinforming capable of creating public disturbance and unrest.
They also called on the leaders of Hadejia Ina Mafia to always take extra careful while discussing or commenting on a sensible issue, avoid politicising it or attacking the reputation of Government.
Similarly, a Women group known as Jigawa Women Development Initiative held peaceful demonstration in Dutse capital to expressed their delightfulness on the role of father and leader played by Governor Namadi in the Walida Abdullahi case.
The Women group expressed their disheartening on the case and expressed their sympathy to the victim and her family over the inhuma treatment mated on her by the suspect
They therefore called on the general public, to joined hands in supporting Jigawa state government to ensure justice is done to Walida Abdullahi.
