The African Democratic Congress ADC has said that as a viable and reliable alternative political party in Nigeria, it is committed to the conduct of free, fair and credible party primaries that would pave way for the emergence of its candidates on various elective positions through a transparent process.
National Chairman of the party, Senator David Mark, who stated this at the official movement of Labour Party, CSF and Obedient Support Groups with their members to ADC in Niger state, said the party is ready and prepared to take over the mantle of leadership at all level in Nigeria
Represented by the ADC National Woman Leader, Mrs Naomi Lasara Abel, Senator David Mark explained that ADC members were not bothered with defection of thirty state Governors and some members of National Assembly to the APC, since Nigerian electorates are not going with them, what they needed is the passage of transmission of election results electronically, inline with section sixty sub section three as amended, which will serve as game changer.
He however appealed to Nigerian women whom he said constitute about seventy percent of votes in Nigeria, to come out enmasse to obtain their Permanent Voters to enable them elect credible leaders of their choice in the twenty twenty seven General Elections, to achieve the quest of possible change we do much desired.
In his remarks, the twenty twenty three Gubernatorial Candidate under Labour Party in Niger state, Mr Joshua Bawa, advised members to galvanize support at the grassroot level, and advised Governor Umar Bago to provide a mini dam in Minna to ease their water needs and reduce the number of bridges under construction to two, to enable him commission such project this year.
State Chairman of ADC, Alh Musa Hassan, who welcomed the new members to the party also assured them that they have equal opportunities with members, describing ADC as a movement to rescue Nigeria, and presented new members with membership cards.
Also speaking a member of NGO, the Community Structure Foundation for Good Governance CSF and member Advisory Council of Obedient Movement, Engineer Gambo Daniel Balarabe, stressed the need for them to forget about their differences and work collectively to liberate Nigerians for maximum benefits.
