Arrangements have been concluded for the accreditation of journalists ahead of the 2026 Argungu International Fishing and Cultural Festival, scheduled to commence on 11th February, 2026.

The Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to kebbi State Governor also the Chairman, Accreditation Committee Malam Yahaya Sarki made this known in a statement to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital.

According to the statement, a dedicated 24-hour Secretariat and Accreditation Desk have been established at the Fishing Village in Argungu to accredit local, national, and international journalists interested in covering the historic event for global audiences.

All duly accredited journalists will be issued official identification tags by the committee, while necessary assistance will be provided to ensure smooth and effective coverage of the festival.

The Chairman of the Sub-Committee on Information and Publicity for the festival, and Commissioner for Information and Culture, Kebbi State, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed Birnin Kebbi, has, following a series of preparatory meetings, mobilized members of the committee to ensure hitch-free and successful media coverage.
