Governor Dauda Lawal has commenced a statewide engagement with stakeholders of the Zamfara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as part of efforts to strengthen party unity and deepen grassroots participation.
The engagement series kicked off on Tuesday at the Rescue Hall, Government House, Gusau, with stakeholders from Gummi and Maru Local Government Areas.
According to a statement issued by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris, the meetings are part of a regular consultative process aimed at reviewing political developments, strengthening party structures, and discussing issues affecting both the party and the overall development of Zamfara State.
The statement explained that, the engagement provides a platform for the Governor to interact directly with party leaders, exchange views on key political matters, and collectively chart strategies for the growth of the PDP and the progress of the state.
It further revealed that, in the coming weeks, Governor Lawal will meet with PDP stakeholders from all 14 local government areas of Zamfara State.
During the engagements, the Governor listens to concerns, suggestions, and constructive assessments of developments in various communities, reinforcing inclusive leadership and participatory governance.
The initiative, the statement noted, underscores the strength, cohesion, and widespread influence of the Peoples Democratic Party across Zamfara State.
