Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has expressed deep sorrow over the killing of a woman and her children in Dorayi Chiranchi Quarters of Kano metropolis, describing the incident as barbaric and unacceptable.
The Governor’s reaction was contained in a statement signed by his spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.
Governor Yusuf extended condolences to the bereaved family, residents of Dorayi Chiranchi and the people of Kano State, praying for the repose of the souls of the deceased and strength for those affected by the tragedy.
He directed the Kano State Police Command to immediately track down and arrest the perpetrators, insisting that those responsible must be brought to justice without delay.
The Governor warned that anyone found culpable would face the full weight of the law.
Governor Yusuf also ordered the Kano State Neighborhood Corps to intensify patrols and community surveillance, particularly in vulnerable areas, to prevent a recurrence.
He urged residents to remain calm and cooperate with security agencies by reporting suspicious activities, assuring that his administration remains committed to protecting lives and property.
