The Jigawa State Director of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Malam Tijjani Ahmad Ibrahim, has congratulated Nigerians for ushering in the New Year in an atmosphere of peace and harmony across the country.
He commended citizens for their resilience, patriotism and unwavering hope in Nigeria despite the challenges experienced in the past year, particularly economic hardships arising from reforms introduced by the Federal Government.
In a statement by the Head, Media and Communication, Sarah Ogodo, the Director General reaffirmed NOA’s commitment to sustained public enlightenment
He stressed that the agency would continue to publicise government programmes, policies and activities to elicit positive public response and enhance citizens’ understanding of their roles and responsibilities, as well as those of government.
On tax reforms, Mallam Tijjani assured that the agency would design simplified communication strategies to help citizens better understand the tax policy and its benefits to national development.
He urged Nigerians to embrace the New Year with renewed hope, noting that national progress would be achieved when citizens unite to support government at all levels in realising their development vision.
The NOA Director also prayed for a year filled with happiness and outstanding success for the government and people of Jigawa State, and Nigerians at large.
