The Kaduna State Police Command says it has recently recorded significant breakthroughs in its sustained fight against armed robbery, kidnapping, rape, cybercrimes and other forms of criminality.
According to the Command, these successes reflect its renewed operational strategies, strengthened intelligence-sharing, and enhanced collaboration with sister security agencies and community stakeholders.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Rabiu Mohammad, disclosed this during a press briefing at the Command’s headquarters in Kaduna.
He presented key arrests, recoveries, and ongoing investigations arising from three major operations conducted between 6th and 22nd November 2025.
The CP said the Command had arrested thirteen members of an armed robbery syndicate terrorizing hotels and residences in Kaduna.
“They confessed to being responsible for the recent armed robbery attacks at Freedom Hotel, No.10 Hotel Barnawa, Gashash Estate, and several residences within Kaduna metropolis. They also admitted to killing a police personnel in 2024,” he explained.

Investigation revealed that the gang operated with support from drug dealers in various hotels, who tipped them off about targets and valuable items in rooms and lodges.
Recovered exhibits include a pump-action rifle with seven cartridges, cutlasses and sticks, a blue Volkswagen operational vehicle, four laptops, thirteen phones, and four plasma televisions belonging to victims.
The Command is extending investigations to identify additional collaborators, handlers of stolen items, and hotel staff involved in aiding the syndicate.
The CP further stated that on 17th November, acting on credible intelligence, operatives stormed Nunbu Bashayi in Sanga LGA, where seven suspects linked to kidnapping activities were arrested.
They confessed to kidnapping a victim from the community and demanding ransom before their arrest.
Efforts are ongoing to apprehend other accomplices and recover weapons used during their operations.
The Command also dismantled a violent gang involved in armed robbery, sexual assault, cyber extortion, and blackmail.

The gang specialized in attacking residents and stealing phones, ATM cards, and personal valuables.
Victims were forced to reveal their ATM PINs, after which funds were withdrawn and gadgets sold.
Disturbingly, the suspects confessed to raping juvenile victims and married women, recording the acts, and later blackmailing the husbands with threats to release the videos online unless payments were made.
On 16th September, the DPO Sabon Gari Division in Zaria transferred a case of criminal conspiracy and armed robbery to the CP along with one suspect, Umar Shuaibu of Brigade, Kano.
Earlier that day, Umar and his accomplices — Awulu, Sa’adatu, Amina, Awful Abdullah, and Jamilu — allegedly drugged a commercial tricycle rider using banned substances mixed with Maltina and robbed him along the Abuja–Kaduna Expressway by Gonin Gora.
The stolen tricycle was recovered in Zaria, while the initial suspects fled.
Further investigation led to the arrest of additional syndicate members: Awulu Abdullah, Amina, Sa’adatu, and Babangida.
All suspects were reproduced on 25th November for continuation of investigation.

The CP also revealed that on 24th November 2025, a doctor from a hospital in Kawo, Kaduna, reported that one Adamu Abubakar Muhammed (44 yrs) presented himself as a qualified medical doctor.
He provided a license purportedly issued by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), claiming ownership.
He worked at the hospital for one month before it was discovered that the license belonged to his friend, Adamu Muhammed Imam, a colleague from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria.
He confessed to being a medical school dropout and to having illegally operated on eight patients.
All suspects remain in custody and will be charged to court accordingly.
CP Rabiu Mohammad added that the Kaduna State Police Command, in synergy with the military, DSS, and other security agencies, is conducting clearance operations aimed at eradicating criminal elements across the state.
He said these operations are part of the Command’s expanded intelligence-driven policing strategy and assured that they will continue to identify and dismantle criminal networks.
He commended the efforts of all operatives involved — especially the Operation Fushin Kada Team, Divisional Police Officers, local vigilantes, and community informants whose timely intelligence made these breakthroughs possible.
The CP appreciated the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, under whose leadership these achievements were recorded, and the Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, for his continuous support.
He urged members of the public to continue to provide credible information and remain vigilant, noting that reclaiming communities from criminal elements is a collective responsibility.
