The Chairperson Nigeria Civil Defence Officers Wives Assocation, CDOWA, Kaduna state chapter, Mrs Victoria Panam Musa says the assocation will continue to collaborate with individuals and organizations towards fostering peace and development in the society.

 

The Chairperson stated this when she led her team members to pay a courtesy visit to the Air Force Officers Wives Assocation, NAFOWA, Air Tactical Command, ATC Chapter at their secretariat in Kaduna.

 

Mrs Victoria Panam Musa explained that peace remains the driving force of the Civil Defence Officers Wives Assocation, CDOWA, as they have their slogan “peace at home and peace in the nation”.

 

“One of our aim is to contribute to the National protection of threat, attacks and disaster and to promote maintenance of peace and order, that is why our motto of CDOWA is Peace at home and Peace in the Nation”, she said.

Mrs Panam Musa while applauding the efforts of the Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi and his wife who is the National president of CDOWA maintained that their service to humanity as constantly been seen and felt have been their motivating force in Kaduna.

 

“I bring greetings from my president, the National President in the person of Mrs Aisha Abubakar Audi and also from the Commandant General in the person of Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, while I always acknowledge his presence is because of the key role he has been playing in the welfare of the officers wives. He has ensured that the thirty-five percent affirmative action is been active and that is why we don’t fail to recognize the key role he has played”, she added.

 

The Chairperson called on NAFOWA ATC Chapter to be a guiding force towards reviving the Association in Kaduna, saying their are a lot of reforms currently on going and seek their full support.

 

On her part, the NAFOWA Chairperson, ATC chapter, Mrs Juwairiyyaah Ahmed Dari appreciated CDOWA Kaduna state chapter for the visit, saying the assocation is open for collaboration in the areas of its skills acquisition center where they offer training on catering, tailoring, shoes and handbags making among others.

 

Mrs Ahmed Dari assured them of their full support, saying NAFOWA ATC chapter would continue to be in the fore font of peace and development initiatives.

 

“We are delighted to be here because this is the first organization that have visited NAFOWA ATC chapter, and it also reminds us of the partnership and sisterhood that we are going to achieve for the betterment of our society and community at large.

 

We believe that when organisations like this join hands, we can achieve greater impact in empowering families and in turn the society”, she said.

 

A major highlight of the visit is the tour to NAFOWA Skills acquisition centre and bakery where the CDOWA women where on ground to witness some of the activities been carryout at the centre.
