President Bola Tinubu today met with the newly appointed Service Chiefs at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s security architecture.

 

The closed-door meeting followed the recent appointments approved by the President, which the Presidency described as a strategic move aimed at enhancing professionalism, operational efficiency, and boosting morale within the Armed Forces.

In attendance were the Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede; Chief of Army Staff, Major General Wahid Shaibu; Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Kennedy Aneke; and Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Idi Abbas.

While details of the President’s meeting with the new service chiefs were not immediately disclosed, the meeting is believed to have focused on the administration’s security priorities and the expectations from the new Service Chiefs in advancing national stability and peace.
