The General Manager Broadcasting Corporation of Niger State, Mohammed Kolo has promised to intensify efforts in making the state owned Media outfit Radio Niger as the most efficient and effective radio station in the state.
The General Manager who made the promise in an exclusive interview with Radio Nigeria in Minna, said even though he met the station on its knees, hopes of transforming the station to a world class media outfit remain alive.

Mohammed Kolo maintained with the support of Niger state Governor Mohammed Umar Bago whom he described as dependable and reliable coupled with the support of dedicated and committed staff of Radio Niger, his renewed quest of restoring the station to its former glory remain sacrosanct.
He however stressed the need for government agencies in the state to patronize Radio Niger to enhance its economic viability and reliability as well as continue to maintain its leadership role of broadcasting in Niger state with relative ease.

According to him whatever spent on Radio Niger by government agencies and parastatals would only served as a revolving fund where it will be used to fast track speedy development of the station in addition to remitting part of the money to relevant ministry to enhance and improve the internally Generated Revenue IGR of Niger state.
Mohammed Kolo whose mission and vision is for Radio Niger to be the higher media station that promote government policies and programmed such as the New Niger Agenda of Governor Umar Bago, infrastructural development and activities of Niger Foods, in addition to setting agenda for the betterment of the state.
On the forthcoming Local Government Councils election slated for the first of November, he said they met with staff of Newsroom to come up with better ways of coming up with news items, reports and programme for Niger lites to be educated and informed to stay peacefully to achieve free, fair and credible election.
Mohammed who would wants Niger state Government to peeped in to Radio Niger to see for itself the problems militating against its speedy development, however expressed happiness that they have forwarded their needs assessment to Secretary to Niger State Government as requested by Governor Umar Bago for necessary action.
