Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Abbas Tajudeen, has described the newly turbaned Sardaunan Zazzau, Alhaji Namadi Sambo, as a cultural ambassador who will use the prestigious title to promote unity within the Zazzau Emirate and across the country.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Leke Olatunji Baiyewu, the Speaker explained that the title of Sardauna is a prestigious honour traditionally reserved for distinguished personalities such as the former Vice President, Namadi Sambo.
Dr. Abbas noted that Alhaji Namadi Sambo remains one of the elder statesmen from Kaduna State who has served Nigeria with distinction, adding that the title reflects the Emirate’s deep confidence and respect for his leadership and contributions to national development.
While congratulating Alhaji Namadi Sambo for his turbaning as the new Sardaunan Zazzau, commended the Emir of Zazzau for finding worthy ambassadors to occupy significant leadership positions in the Emirate.
The Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, turbaned former Vice President Namadi Sambo, at his palace last Saturday, with Speaker Abbas and several dignitaries in attendance to witness the historic cultural rite.
