Muslims have been urged to be security conscious and remain vigilant to prevent the activities of criminals in their communities.
The Chief Imam of Alasela Community Centre Mosque in Eiyenkorin area of Ilorin,Imam Abubakar Taiye made the call in his Juma’at sermon in Ilorin,Kwara state.
He said it is only through collaborative efforts that the security challenges in the state and the country in general can be reduced to the minimum.
According to him every community members should serve as a watch man by identifying Intruder who are out to cause harvoc on innocent citizens.
Imam Taiye advised Muslims to take their safety very seriously where ever they are to prevent avoidable problems.
He appealed to them to report any suspicious individual in their midst to the security agencies for prompt action.
