Zamfara State Coordination Office of the Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project (L-PRES) has commenced a two-day training workshop on Productivity and Technology Adoption Survey and Analysis.
The workshop which brought together project staff, enumerators, analysts, and other key stakeholders was designed to build their capacity in data collection, analysis, and interpretation for evidence-based planning and decision-making.
While addressing the participants in Gusau, the Zamfara State Coordinator of L-PRESS, Alhaji Nasiru Mohammed said the training marks another critical milestone in the implementation of the project in Zamfara State.
According to him, the productivity and technology adoption survey is a vital tool to measure performance, track progress, and assess the impact of L-PRES interventions on selected livestock production systems in the state.
“Our world today is driven by data. Without accurate data, our efforts risk being misdirected.

Alhaji Nasiru Mohammed pointed out that, the training would equip the participants with the necessary skills to generate reliable information that will guide resource allocation and to ensure the attainment of L-PRES development objectives in enhancing livestock productivity and resilience.
The Coordinator commended, National Project Coordination Office, the World Bank, the Zamfara State Government, Technopreneur Livestock Institute Kontagora and other technical partners for their continued support in providing guidance and capacity building for the successful implementation of the project.
He urged participants to take the training seriously and actively engage with resource persons to acquire the necessary skills that will ensure credible results and long-term impact.
The participants expressed confidence that, at the end of the training, they would acquire the needed knowledge to continue discharging their duty effectively and professionally.
The training is expected to strengthen the capacity of stakeholders in monitoring and evaluating livestock interventions in Zamfara State.
