The Muslim Media Watch Group of Nigeria has condemned the incessant false reports of christian genocide in Nigeria.

In a statement the National Coordinator of the group,Abdullahi Ibrahim says it is a well-known that insecurity pervading Nigeria spread round only in Northern Nigeria where about 80 percent of the inhabitants are Muslims .

The statement says it is also factual that muslim victims are far greater than non-muslims.

The Group called on Muslims and Christians in Nigeria to unite and fight their common enemies who are terrorists, bandits and kidnappers.

According to it leaders of the two main religions should refrain from fanning embers of religious conflict for personal gains or benefits.

Meanwhile, the group has also called on the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria [PENGASSAN] and other stakeholders in the dispute to adopt responsible unionism in Nigeria that serves the interest of the masses than few individuals and personal interests.

It says the union or group interests must never be used to disrupt services to the Country’s citizens as such unilateral action of embarking on strike is highly unpatriotic.
