Kebbi State Government has expressed dismay with recent diabolical campaigns of calumny being perpetrated by the opposition parties against Governor Nasir and people-centric administration.

This was disclosed at a press conference by the State Information Commissioner, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed Birnin Kebbi.

He said that, the state government was dismayed to have observed recent devilish efforts by the agents of the opposition to portray the state government in bad light.

According to him, such acts are really very disheartening, sad and unfortunate, they however have the right to oversight the state government but that should be done with decorum and not with deceitful envy.

The Commissioner, however, noted with dismay that the recent events in Kebbi State shown that the opposition in the state had been doing the exact opposite of the basic tenets of democracy.

Birnin Kebbi also expressed optimism that such acts of blackmail to drag the name of the state government into the mud would continue to be null and void.

He stated that Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu has earned an indestructible reputation for himself and his administration in the last two years.

The Commissioner said that the Governor had been doing his best to fulfil his campaign promises to the people of the state.

“This is evident in the myriad of infrastructural revolution that the Governor has been able to achieve from 2023 to date” he added.

Birnin Kebbi dismissed the recent viral videos alluding to the failure of the state government to ramp up the provision of the basic healthcare needs of the people of Kebbi State.

He said, the Governor has been trying his best to meet the yearnings and aspirations of the people of the state and he will not relent his ongoing efforts to take Kebbi State to greater heights.
