Kano State Housing Corporation KSHC, has officially received 324 housing units from the Kano State Pension Funds Trustees to the corporation.
The Managing Director KSHC, Alhaji Abdullahi Rabi’u stated this during a visit to the Chairman of the Pension Funds Trustee, Alhaji Habu Mohammad Fagge, in his office.
According to Rabiu, the units are located across the Kwankwasiyya, Amana, and Bandirawo Mega Cities.
He noted that the handover marks a significant milestone in the state’s efforts to improve housing delivery and management.
The managing director commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for his leadership and innovative policies aimed at reforming the housing system in the state.
In his remarks, the Chairman Kano state Pension Fund Trustees, Alhaji Habu Mohammad Fagge explained that the houses were initially managed by the Pension Funds Trustee but were formally transferred to the Housing Corporation after the state government settled outstanding payments.
The funds, he said, had been used to clear pension backlogs.
He expressed confidence that under the Housing Corporation’s stewardship, the estates would soon be fully utilized by their original occupants.
