The President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has extended warm congratulations to Muslims in Nigeria, urging compassion, forgiveness, and unity as they celebrate Eid al-Fitr.

In a congratulatory message signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Hon. Eseme Eyiboh, Akpabio commended Muslims for the successful completion of the Ramadan fast and encouraged them to sustain the values of almsgiving, love, and generosity.

He noted that the celebration of Eid al-Fitr reflects important virtues such as compassion, forgiveness, and unity, which are essential for building a peaceful and harmonious society.

The Senate President urged the Muslim Ummah, as they conclude the period of fasting and spiritual reflection, to uphold empathy, kindness, and generosity, especially toward the less privileged.

“May the spirit of Eid inspire us to cultivate compassion, promote understanding, and work towards a more just and harmonious Nigeria,” he said.

On behalf of his family, constituents, the Senate, and the 10th National Assembly, Akpabio also extended his goodwill to Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all Muslims, praying for peace, progress, and prosperity in Nigeria and across the world.
