Osun State Government has been urged to involve members of the Hausa Community in order to facilitate socio-economic and political development in the state.

The appeal was made by the Hausa Community leader in Ede, Alhaji Gambo Ibrahim, during a telephone interview.

Alhaji Gambo, who also serves as the Secretary of Hausa Community Leaders in the South-West, expressed concern that the state government is yet to engage them on measures to ensure peaceful coexistence that would promote democratic governance.

He further stressed the need for the government to extend palliatives and other benefits to non-indigenes in the state, as well as provide public sensitization on political issues, including the national census and voter registration by INEC.

The Hausa leader expressed hope that these issues would be given due consideration to achieve the desired objectives, while assuring the community’s full cooperation.
