Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State has sworn in two new permanent commissioners of the State Civil Service Commission.
The appointees are Alhaji Babandi Saleh, Permanent Commissioner II, and Alhaji Ibrahim Adamu Fagam, Permanent Commissioner III. The swearing-in took place at the Council Chambers, Government House, Dutse.
Speaking at the ceremony, Governor Namadi reiterated his administration’s commitment to strengthening the civil service for effective and efficient service delivery.
He described the civil service as a key pillar in implementing government policies and programs, noting that appointing permanent members for the first time was part of ongoing reforms.
The governor congratulated the appointees and urged them to uphold integrity, professionalism, and diligence in discharging their responsibilities.
Governor Namadi expressed optimism that the new commissioners would contribute meaningfully to the development of Jigawa State.
Responding on behalf of the appointees, Alhaji Babandi Saleh thanked the governor for the confidence reposed in them and pledged total commitment to the administration’s reform agenda.
He assured the governor of synergy between the Civil Service Commission and other institutions to drive positive change.
Alhaji Saleh further promised that the commissioners would not betray the trust placed in them and would work tirelessly to meet the expectations of government and the people.
The ceremony was attended by top government officials and stakeholders in the state civil service.
