Director General of National Directorate of Employment (NDE), Mr Silas Agara has directed state coordinators in the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory to commence the processing of online applications received from unemployed Nigerians.

The programme is targeted at the Unemployed and those seeking Vocational, digital, agricultural, and entrepreneurial skills for self-reliance.

Addressing newsmen in Abuja, the Director General of NDE, Mr Silas Agara said the second phase of the programme has captured more unemployed youths, especially people living with disability.

Mr Agara stated that over 41,000 applicants would be selected for the empowerment training programme to reduce unemployment among the teeming youths.

This initiative, aligned with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s agenda, aims to create jobs, reduce poverty, and promote economic growth.

Over 411,000 unemployed Nigerians have registered in the online portal for Second Phase of the NDE’s Renewed Hope Employment Initiative programme within the time frame for registration.

The Director General of NDE, Mr Silas Agara applauded President Bola Tinubu’s administration for creating jobs for the teeming unemployed youths.

The Renewed Hope Employment Initiative (RHEI) is designed to empower Nigerians with marketable skills, enabling them to become self-employed and contribute to the economy.
