Kaduna State Chapter of the African Democratic Congress-ADC has issued a strong warning to former Governor Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai over his deliberate attempts to infiltrate and destabilise the party for personal political gain.

At a press conference held in Kaduna, Mallam Ahmed Tijjani who spoke to newsmen on behalf of the state party Leadership ,expressed concern over the former governor subversive activities which he claimed is in alignment with elements from his defunct SDP structure to create a faction within the ADC.

The leadership of the ADC reiterated that Nasir El-Rufai has never been a registered member of the party in his ward, which, according to the party’s constitution, is a prerequisite for party membership.

According to the ADC, El-Rufai’s actions are in clear violation of its values, and represent a threat to the unity and discipline for which the party is known for.

The party Leadership explained that ADC remains open to all Nigerians who share its ideals, but frowned at any destructive tendencies of old political habits by anyone

They said the ADC, both at the national and state level, is committed to being a progressive, people focused alternative to the APC-led government and warned that it would not serve as a personal political vehicle for any individual.

Mallam Ahmed Tijani maintained that the state chapter of the party is fully aligned with the vision of the new National Chairman, Senator David Mark, and is determined to uphold the party’s founding principles without compromise.

“We will resist any attempt to turn this party into a personal political vehicle as the ADC in Kaduna State will not be a willing tool in the hands of any individual”,he said

The party called on Nasir El-Rufai to desist immediately from any activities aimed at hijacking the party structure and to respect the democratic ideals of the ADC.

It also reaffirmed its commitment to mobilising the people of Kaduna State and Nigeria at large towards a just and prosperous future.

The press briefing concluded with a call for unity among party members and a renewed pledge to stay focused on the vision of building a disciplined, inclusive, and visionary political platform.

Radio Nigeria will continue to monitor the developments within the ADC and provide updates as the story unfolds.
