Nasarawa State Police Command says it has deployed adequate police personnel and logistical assets to ensure a peaceful, safe, and hitch-free Eid-el-Kabir sallah celebration in the state.
The State Commissioner of Police, c stated in a press statement signed and issued to newsmen in Lafia, the state capital.
The statement says State Police Command remains resolute in denying criminal elements any opportunity to disrupt the peace before, during and after the sallah festivities.
It says in line with the command’s unwavering commitment to public safety and crime prevention, comprehensive security measures have been put in place throughout the state.
The statement advises parents and guardians to caution their children and wards against any form of unlawful or disruptive behavior.
According to the statement, CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed felicitates with the Muslim Ummah in the State on the occasion of Eid-El-Kabir and also calls on all faithful to use this sacred period to offer prayers for peace, unity, and the continued progress of Nasarawa State and Nigeria as a whole.
The Commissioner of Police urged all Muslim faithful, fun seekers, and members of the public to remain vigilant, law-abiding, and to conduct themselves peacefully throughout the holiday period and encouraged the public to report any suspicious persons or activities to the nearest police station or via the emergency lines provided below.
