Kaduna state government is working towards the promotion of businesses including manufacturing and technological innovations by creating sustainable and a conducive environment for genuine investors who are willing to do business in the State.

The state Commissioner for Business Innovation and Technology, Patience Fakai stated this at the ongoing ministerial press briefing at the Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, Kaduna.

The Commissioner said with the support of Governor Uba Sani, the ministry had embarked on robust activities to promote businesses, manufacturing and innovations to improve the economy of the state.

Patience Fakai pointed to the fact that Kaduna state government had trained 500 youths on information communication technology to create a path way for success in a society currently driven by ICT.

She submitted that the construction of 3 skills smart cities in strategic communities to train youths and women in various trades had reached various stages of completion.

The Commissioner further confirmed that with the approval of Governor Uba Sani, Kaduna state had participated in a number of trade fares within and outside Nigeria to showcase her great potential in human and natural resources.

In the area of business development, the Commissioner hinted that 130 businesses have been registered to allow for smooth transactions in an effective and efficient manner that will be beneficial to the state and the operators.

Patience Fakai also stressed that government had upgraded and equipped some markets with basic infrastructure to enhance the viability of small and medium enterprises across the three senatorial zones of the state.
