Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State have denied some media publications circulating that he will run for Nasarawa North Senatorial district in 2027.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor Malam Ibrahim Addra and issued to newsmen in lafia, the state capital.

The statement while debunking some media report in strong term confirmed that, there are several calls by individuals and groups on the Governor to declare his interest to run for the Senate seat for Nasarawa North constituency in 2027.

“This assertion is untrue and definitely does not emanate from Governor Abdullahi Sule”… It Said

“For the avoidance of any doubt, Engr. Sule has never invited anyone to confirm that he is running or to sale his candidature for senate or any other office for that matter. The statement added”…

It explained that, the Governor firmly declined such calls maintaining that his attention remains focused on delivering the mandate given to him by the people of Nasarawa State as their forth democratically elected Governor of the state.

“Our Governor remains resolute and committed to his promise of leaving Nasarawa better than he met it. He added”…..

While the Governor appreciates all the love and endorsements from friends and supporters, it is worth restating that he has never confirmed to anyone that he is running for any office.

The statement further maintained that Governor Sule appreciate for the support he enjoys from the citizens of the state and advise his teeming supporters to assist the governor in delivering on his mandate at this moment.

Recently some media reported that, Governor Abdullahi Sule had indicated his intention through the stakeholders to run for the Nasarawa North Senatorial District in 2027 general election.
