Nigeria Police has announced that it will conduct a shooting range exercise for Police Constables in Birnin Kudu local government area of Jigawa state.

The Police Commissioner of Jigawa state command, Ahmad Tijjani Abdullahi stated this in a statement made available to newsmen in Dutse, the state capital.

He said, the exercise will commence from 19th April to 11th May 2025 at Tsohon Kafi Village in Birnin Kudu.

According to him, the aim of the training is to enhance the operational readiness, weapon handling skills, and marksmanship of newly recruited constables, in line with the Nigeria Police Force commitment to professionalism and public safety.

The Command, therefore urged residents of Tsohon Kafi Village and surrounding areas not to panic upon hearing sounds of gunshots during the exercise.

Abdullahi said, all activities will be strictly supervised and conducted in a safe and controlled environment.

The Command also appreciates the continued support and cooperation of the public in supporting efforts to maintain peace and security across the state.
