The National Association of Technologists in Engineering (NATE) has officially sworn in the new executive members of its Kaduna State Chapter, tasked with steering the affairs of the association in the state.
The Zonal Vice President of NATE, Technologist Bala Muhammad during the inauguration ceremony of the newly elected officials held in Kaduna urged them to prioritize unity and progress within the association.
The newly inaugurated executive members include: Technologist Audu John as the Chairman while AbdulKadir Julde as the Vice Chairman, Williams Okonkwu is the Secretary of the chapter.
Others are Sim Marca Maikege as a Treasurer, AbdulGaniu Isah as Financial Secretary and Racheal Ovbiagele as Technical Secretary.
Other positions are Ishaya Buba of Radio Nigeria Kaduna as Public Relations Officer, Khadijah Abdullahi as a Women Coordinator and Aliyu Ibrahim Usman as Membership Secretary.
The positions of Auditor and Assistant Secretary remain vacant.
In his acceptance speech, the newly elected Chairman, Technologist Audu John emphasized the importance of members’ commitment, particularly through the payment of check-off dues.
He stated that no association could thrive without the dedication of its members, and that dues payment would be a priority for the new administration.
Technologist Audu John also revealed plans to collaborate with key stakeholders particularly in the industrial, governmental, and private sectors to ensure members are well-represented and supported.
According to him, the previous executive had initiated such efforts with courtesy visits to organizations like Nocaco Nigeria Limited and the Water Resources Department to identify and engage with their members.
The new Chairman Audu commended the Electoral Committee, led by Engr. Silas Oluyori, for conducting a free, fair, and credible election despite facing several challenges.
Also speaking at the event, Zonal Vice President, Technologist Bala Muhammad, represented by National Officer Comrade Lukman Sani, noted that the Kaduna State Chapter was the pioneering branch for all chapters in the North-West zone.
However, he acknowledged the challenges facing the chapter and called on the new executive to work collaboratively to restore its strength and vibrancy.
He congratulated the Electoral Committee on the successful conduct of the election and assured them of continued support for the chapter’s development.
Earlier, in his remarks, the Electoral Chairman, Engr. Silas Oluyori, thanked stakeholders for their unwavering support, which he said was instrumental in overcoming the hurdles encountered during the election process.
In an interview, the new Public Relations Officer, Engr. Ishaya Buba, expressed optimism that the new executive team would usher in positive changes and elevate the association to greater heights.

He added that the caliber and commitment of the newly elected officers would translate into effective leadership and meaningful progress for the chapter.
