The new Managing Director of Sokoto Rima River Basin Development Authority, Alh. Abubakar Malam pledged his readiness to repositioning the organisation for effective service delivery.
Alh Abubakar Malam gave the assurance at the official taking over of mantle of leadership in Sokoto state.
Malam said already, modalities are in place to redefine the direction of activities towards the initial mandates of the organisation for socio-economic and security development of the zone.
He stressed that through the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu all water resources centres will be harness to their full potential and provides mechanisms that will control flood disaster across the country for sustainable development.
The MD noted that the task ahead is not an easy one reflecting on the current realities which indicate the need to restore the glory of this organization, entrench work ethics, promote efficiency and diligent service delivery through commitment and teamwork in order to ensure the attainment of desired outcomes.
The new MD also pledged improved welfare of staff, entrench discipline and work ethics, recognises productivity and reward excellence as a way of motivating workers for maximum productivity.
He added that the Presidential initiative in Agriculture, Agro Industrial Zones, Livestock development, rural economic growth, sanitation and food security will be complemented through the organisation numerous activities enshrined in the core mandates of Sokoto Rima River Basin Development Authority
