National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced that it has secured 1,000 bed spaces in Tent A at Muna for Nigerian pilgrims, with additional allocations expected from the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
NAHCON Chairman, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, shared this information during a meeting with private tour operators at the Nigeria Hajj Affairs Office in Makkah.
He encouraged the operators to express interest in the available spaces and collaborate with the commission to ensure a smooth 2025 Hajj operation.
Prince Anofiu Elegusi, the Commissioner for Operations, Inspectorate, Compliance, and Licensing, called the meeting timely, underscoring the critical role of tour operators in safeguarding the welfare of Nigerian pilgrims.
Tour operators raised concerns about accessing service providers for Tent A and issues with the e-track payment system.
In response, NAHCON pledged to address these concerns swiftly and arrange a meeting with the service providers.
The meeting concluded with special prayers for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his 73rd birthday.
