The National Blood Service Agency (NBSA) has called on Nigerians, particularly residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), to donate blood to support victims of the tragic vehicle explosion that occurred on Wednesday along the Keffi-Kugbo road in Abuja.

In a statement, the agency says the devastating incident has resulted in multiple casualties, many of whom require immediate blood transfusions.

It said Hospitals and emergency response teams were working tirelessly to save lives, but adequate blood supply was crucial to their efforts.

NBSA appealed to all eligible donors to visit designated blood donation centres and hospitals across the FCT to make voluntary blood donations, as their generosity could make the difference between life and death for those in critical condition.
