The Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, has reiterated the Federal Government’s commitment to youth empowerment for socio security and economic development in the country.

The Minister said his visit to Sokoto State aims to foster engagement with young people during Ramadan and provide essential support.

Olawande, who was accompanied by Seyi Tinubu, emphasised the importance of youth-focused initiatives, including providing a platform for discussion on national youth development.

He noted that President Bola Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Aliyu share a common vision for youth advancement, ensuring that resources allocated to Sokoto are effectively utilized.

The minister also praised the introduction of a student loan scheme, describing it as a landmark initiative to support Nigerian students.

He assured that more youth-centred programs are in the pipeline, with Sokoto set to benefit from key initiatives in agriculture, housing, and internship programs.

He further reassured that FG is working to create an enabling environment where young Nigerians can thrive.

In his remarks, Governor Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto described the visit as a testament to the administration’s dedication to youth empowerment.

He praised Seyi Tinubu, who is the founder of the Renewed Hope Youth Empowerment Initiative, for his contributions to politics and economic development, calling on him to extend his programs to Sokoto’s young population.

The Governor also highlighted his administration’s efforts in supporting young people, including appointing youth into key positions in government and providing free education for all students, regardless of religion or ethnicity.

He commended Tinubu for his philanthropic gestures during Ramadan, especially towards the less privileged.

Earlier speaking, Seyi Tinubu expressed his commitment to youth development in Sokoto, pledging that his foundation would continue to support initiatives across the state’s 23 local government areas.
