Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria (RIFAN) Kwara state Chapter felicitates with Mrs Oloruntoyosi Thomas on her appointment as the commissioner for the newly created ministry of live stock development in the state.
In a statement the state Coordinator of RIFAN ,Mallam Mohammed Salihu also congratulates Dr.Afees Abolore on his redeployment to ministry of Agriculture and Rural development.
According to it the state is destined for greatness , and the contributions of the commissioners would enable the state government achieve not just the dream of the founding fathers in live stock development for the state but surpass it.
Mallam Mohammed said their contributions in the former ministries of Agriculture, Rural Development and Solid Minerals has been able to maintain the position of the state in large scale food production across the country.
The statement says building a state is a marathon and an endeavour that requires collective efforts as exemplified by the commissioners.
It commends the state governor for supporting their bold reforms and huge efforts to boost food security in the state.
The statement urges them to replicate the different economic initiatives and social protection measures used in the former ministries to improve the living conditions of the live stock farmers and ensure better productivity in the sector.
It assures the determination of RIFAN members to support their efforts in the task of taking the newly created ministry of live stock development to an enviable height.
