First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu has donated one hundred million naira to the victims of Dikko Tanker explosion in Niger state.

This is aimed at alleviating their hardship and improve their livelihood,

The First Lady made the donation while commiserating with Governor Mohammed Umar Bago in Minna over the tragedy that claimed many lives.

Senator Oluremi Tinubu explained that the recent tanker explosion at Dikko junction that claimed over one hundred lives prompted her visit to the state.

She however stressed that Governor Umar Bago had done a lot to rehabilitate the families, which she described as highly commendable  which should be emulated and encouraged at all times.

According to Oluremi Tinubu seventy families through the Wife of the state Governor, will have one million naira to help them settle as well as utilise it for other extra expenses like food items.

Responding, Governor Mohammed Umar Bago expressed appreciation to the wife of the president for coming to share in the pains and to commiserate with Nigerlites over the loses in recent times, such as the tanker explosion in Diko, the dynamite explosion in Mashegu and the collapsed mines in Shiroro Local Government amongst others.
