The Kebbi State Geographic Information Service Agency (KEBGIS), has set an ambitious target of over one billion naira in revenue generation for the year 2025.
The General Manager of the agency, Surveyor Bashiru Saidu Bakuwai, who stated this while briefing newsmen on his confirmation of appointment as substantive General Manager, said this was a demonstration of the agency’s dedication under the Ministry of Lands and Housing to support the state’s economic growth.

Surveyor Saidu Bakuwai, highlighted the agency’s responsibilities that include responsible for all land related titles, generation and issuance of Certificates of Occupancy for regular, recertification, regularization, and systematic property registration.
Others are Processing and Registration of land-transactions, including Assignment, Mortgages, Leases, Subleases, Sub-under leases, Change of purpose (land use), merger and subdivisions as well as ensuring efficient and transparent land administration in line with global best practices.
While thanking Comrade Nasir Idris led administration for its ability to identify and elevate individuals based on competence and dedication, Surveyor Saidu Bakuwai, assured his team commitment to double their efforts in contributing to the success of the administration’s progressive policies to enhance good governance, improve service delivery, and boost internally generated revenue (IGR) of the state.
He however, called on his confirmed colleagues across various parastatals to extend their loyalty and support to Comrade Nasir Idris led administration so that they work together towards leveraging their individual and collective capacities to ensure the success of transformational leadership.
