Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas Ph.D on Tuesday approved the constitution of a committee for the distribution of the first phase of tractors in the state.
This was disclosed in a press statement signed by the Secretary to the Government of the State, Chief Timothy Kataps, and made available to newsmen by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Yusuf Sanda.
The statement mentioned that state Commissioner of Agriculture and Food Security, Professor Nickolas Nemesson will lead the Committee as Chairman.
Members include the state chairman of RIFAN, Hon. Tanko Bobbo Andami, representatives of the Labour Unions, Mr. Gara Nuga from the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), and the National Council of Women Societies (NCWS).
Other members of the committee are Mrs. Uchena Eschareturi, and Dr. Aminu Jauro Hassan, Chairman of Jalingo LGC, representing ALGON.
However, Mr. Samson Alhassan of the Office of the Secretary to the Government of Taraba State will serve as the Secretary of the Committee.
Meanwhile, a date for the commencement of the distribution is yet to be announced.
